Nourished Kids Live
If you have children in your care and you are ready to *get serious* about their long-term health and nutrition, I have some upcoming LIVE events to help you reach your goals! I will offer real-life resources, daily challenges, and thought-provoking information to help you shift, expand, or overhaul your paradigm about what it means to feed your children well.
Locations of each TWO HOUR event will be determined by the number of participants.
Class 101 – Primal Paradigm Shift: Kids’ Nutrition for the Real World
In this class, we will redefine what constitutes a healthy diet, applying basic nutrition concepts that should be widely taught and understood, but are not – not even among most pediatricians and other trained professionals. You will be introduced to a science-based food pyramid that supports health, regulates blood sugar, and wards off inflammation and disease – from chronic ear infections to eczema to allergies to hyperactivity. You will also be provided with a primal shopping list, a list of pantry and refrigerator staples, and an understanding of how to build a balanced, nutrient-dense meal with whatever ingredients you have on hand. This class is appropriate for parents of children at any age and will be packed with important information that forms the foundation for all other Nourished Kids Live classes. Therefore attendance at this 101 class is a prerequisite for all of the others.
Cost: $40 per person, or 2 for $75.
Price includes a resource binder with relevant tools, access to the Primal Kids Live Facebook group page, and light paleo refreshments.
Class 201 – Primal Mealtime: Real Food for Real Families
Building on the concepts covered in Class 101, we will bring the information home with an easy-to-understand framework to structure every meal of the day: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Participants will be invited to browse a variety of paleo-based cookbooks and will also bring home a packet of my most tried and true kid-friendly recipes. You will also have the opportunity to sample some paleo-friendly convenience-food items available online and in some grocery stores, for those days when time is short and you need something fast and easy. Learn how to set your families up for success with great-tasting meals that both fill up hungry bellies and nourish little and big souls. This class is appropriate for parents of children at any age.
Cost: $40 per person, or 2 for $75. Price includes additional resources to add to your 101 binder and samples of 10-15 paleo food products.
Class 301 – Primal Progress: Finding Common Ground with Your Hesitant Eater
Do you have a child who is anxious around food, always wants the same processed foods over and over, or who shrinks at the sight of fresh fruits and vegetables? This class is for you! As a mother of three who has struggled with all kinds of kids’ food aversions, sensitivities, and phobias, I am here to help you navigate this frustrating and sometimes fearful situation. Your child is not a “lost cause,” and there is no reason for you to give up! Participants will engage in a number of activities and food-based games that take the anxiety out of mealtime and can be repeated at home with your own families. You will also be provided with relevant resources that provide structure and support for nudging your children into a more nourishing, health-promoting diet. This class is most appropriate for parents of children ages 2 – 10, but all are welcome.
Cost: $40 per person, or 2 for $75. Price includes additional resources to add to your 101 binder and light paleo refreshments.
Class 401 – Primal Partners: Engaging Your Children in Healthy Eating
Now that you are armed with a foundation of primal health and nutrition, it’s time to involve your kids! This class welcomes parent-child duos to participate in 90 minutes of food-based fun led by a former elementary school teacher. Participants will rotate through 3-5 activities that showcase nutritious whole foods as an engaging and enjoyable tool to learn and grow and experiment. No candy here! Nothing artificial and nothing with added sugar. Just good food and good fun! Parents should attend ready to set the example, and kids should bring their adventurous spirits. This class is most appropriate for parents of children ages 2 – 10, but all are welcome.
